The work of the Architecture and Design Foundation – through our programs, exhibitions, and education initiatives – continues to shape our community thanks to your partnership.

At the Foundation, our mission is to foster access to architecture and design for all; enriching lives and communities through education, public programs, and meaningful connections.

In 2024, we achieved significant milestones:

• Form Follows Fitness 5K brought together more than 3,500 participants and 88 sponsors, strengthening community ties.
• Summer Camps and K-12 programs reached over 1,000 students, nurturing future designers and architects.
• We hosted 92 public programs, exhibitions, gallery talks, tours, and lectures; fostering meaningful conversations on architecture and design.
• We awarded over $38,000 in scholarships to 17 promising students and recent graduates, investing in the future of our profession.

These achievements reflect our dedication to community, education, and the advancement of architecture. Beyond numbers, they represent real impact-on people’s lives, and on the future of our field.

A Message from Our Board President

With great pride and excitement, I am pleased to share this year’s annual report. Before diving into the remarkable achievements of our organization, I want to recognize and celebrate the incredible dedication of our Foundation Board, volunteers, and staff. Your passion and commitment are the driving force behind our success, and I am continually inspired by the unwavering support of our community.

This past year, we have continued to build on the Foundation’s legacy, expanding our scholarships and endowments to provide over $60,000 in annual support for high school students, college students, and design professionals. Our signature fundraising events – the Form Follows Fitness 5K and the Gala for Architecture – remain key cultural moments in our city, reinforcing our mission and broadening our reach.

We are all united in our love for architecture and design, and its impact on our quality of life. Looking ahead, I invite each of you to join us in engaging the broader architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate communities in support of our mission. Your generosity and participation in this year’s Gala for Architecture are vital to the Foundation’s continued impact and the celebration of architecture in Dallas and beyond.

On behalf of the Architecture and Design Foundation, and our board of directors, I sincerely thank you for your support, service, and dedication. Our design profession is rooted in the privilege to serve our communities, and through the Foundation, we have countless opportunities to make a meaningful difference.
