Event Details

Sketching Kaleidoscope: Viewing Dallas Through a Different Lens is a collaboration of the Architecture and Design Exchange, AIA Dallas, and NOMA DFW to explore the diverse historical narratives and patterns that are revealed through the buildings we pass by every day.

The Sketching Kaleidoscope series sought to rethink the destinations we visited within the city to tell their history.

Over the course of four months, meetups were held at four locations and centered around four themes: the Virginia McAlester Residence (March, Women’s History), Trinity River Audubon Center (April, Environmental Justice), Anita Martinez Recreation Center (May, Hispanic Heritage), and the Eloise Lundy Recreation Center (June, Juneteenth).

Hear from the series organizers at this AD EXchange event, about the significance of the locations visited and how sketching can help you see and celebrate the individuals and communities that continue to make history throughout our city.

Panelists: Lisa Casey, Brien Graham, Andrew Wallace, and Alexander Quintanilla.

This program is free to attend, through the Greg Brown Memorial Your City Series Fund.
