Event Details

In December, Trinity Park Conservancy hosted the First Look, an event which revealed initial designs for Harold Simmons Park and information on its transformation.   Recognizing that the Trinity Corridor’s main function is flood control, the design team shared plans on how they can embrace the natural phases of floods  to create an ever-changing landscape that welcomes people and provides recreational opportunities, as well as strengthens the river ecology so that habitats and wildlife thrive.  Brent Brown, CEO and President of the Conservancy, will share information on the design and process including activities planned around equitable development, economic impact, and urban and mobility planning.

Bring your sack lunch for the presentation followed by a small, casual discussion about the plans for Harold Simmons Park. We’ll gather and begin lunch at 11:30 a.m. Brent’s presentation will begin at noon.

Free and open to the public. Please RSVP to with LLS-Trinity Park in the subject line.
