Event Details

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of AIA Dallas’ Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), AIA Dallas has mounted an exhibition of “A Decade of Giving Back.” Each year’s class collaborated on a community outreach project, ranging from the design of the community center and market at Bonton Farms to a play area for CityWalk@Akard.  The displayed ELP class projects are case studies that show how a group of devoted design professionals have successfully impacted their communities.

Join us for this Lunch Learning Session with several of the ELP participants and designers for an in-depth look at the exhibition and a discussion of the projects completed. This work makes a difference in the lives of people within the North Texas community; but they also change the perceptions and values of the architects who participate in them. Come hear about the impact of the program and its plans for the future.

We’ll walk through the exhibition with an ELP alumnus from 11:30-noon, then there will be a brief presentation at noon. Bring your lunch and join us as we hear about how these young architects are giving back. The event is free and open to the public. RSVP to info @DallasADEX.org. Please include LLS: ELP in the title.
