We’ll close out this summer’s film series with a documentary on I.M. Pei.
Chinese-American architect I. M. Pei had a profound effect on architecture throughout the world over his more than 80 year professional career. With important designs like the Pyramid at the Louvre, the JFK Library, and the East Building of the National Gallery of Arts, his structures have become iconic. His influence on our own community and skyline was profound–with projects such as Dallas City Hall, Fountain Place, and the Meyerson Symphony Center.
The documentary includes Pei talking about his work in areas as far-flung as China, Paris and here in the United States. Come and learn more about this architect who is sure to be remembered as one of the most influential of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Due to the length of the film, the screening will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. Bring your lunch and join in the screening and conversation. To RSVP, e-mail info@DallasADEX.org. Please include LLS-Pei in the subject line.
