Originally presented at MEXTROPOLI 2024 in Mexico City, Weaving Architecture showcases over two decades of work by EMBT Architects, the firm founded by Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue. The exhibition explores how EMBT blends history, materiality, and cultural identity through projects such as Santa Caterina Market, the Scottish Parliament, HafenCity in Hamburg, San Giacomo Church, and the Spanish Pavilion at Expo Shanghai.

Rather than following a chronological order, the exhibition is structured around seven interconnected themes – feel at home, build the landscape, weave, intertwine, contour, reinterpret architypes, and return home. These layers invite visitors to engage with EMBT’s design philosophy in a dynamic and immersive way. The firm’s approach prioritizes sustainable materials, particularly wood and wicker, to create spaces that harmonize with their surroundings while bridging past and present.
