Return of the Walking Tours

After assessing the health situation over the past five months, we are pleased to announce the return of two of our most popular walking tours in September. To ensure the safety of all, group sizes will be limited to ten and masks must be worn at all times. Learn about the city’s history and culture as our trained tour guides tell you the stories behind the buildings that surround us. You’ll have the opportunity to join the conversation, ask questions, and add your perspective to the experience.

Our regular tours are every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Registration is $15 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. For more information, to book at tour, or to view future offerings, visit each tour page below.

Discover the Arts District

Offered September 5 and September 19
Explore the largest urban arts district in the country as you examine buildings from the 1890s to the present day. See the designs of four Pritzker Prize laureates as you learn about the institutions, individuals, and visionaries who are a part of the neighborhood’s fascinating story.

Explore the Main Street District

Offered September 12 and September 26
Beginning at Main Street Garden and its dramatic view of a time capsule of some of Dallas’ most important buildings, you will join a discussion about a variety of architectural styles, including Beaux Art, Art Deco, Post-Modern, Renaissance Revival, and Victorian designs and how they were adapted specifically for a rapidly-growing metropolis. This trip through the very center of Downtown Dallas is a wonderful opportunity to learn much about the city and its history.
