ROCKITECTURE 2020
ROCKITECTURE, our party of the year, returns virtually Thursday, November 19! We look forward to gathering for a night of inspiration: a virtual tour, music, and an online silent auction. The online auction will be uniquely curated with items that appeal to lovers of good design and architecture, including artworks from architects in our great city.
Proceeds from ROCKITECTURE 2020 will benefit AD EX public programs and scholarships. Our tours, exhibitions, k-12 camps, and speaker series support our mission of leading the conversation about why architecture matters, its importance and impact in our daily lives. This year, a portion of the proceeds will be dedicated to our scholarship programs to attract and train a new generation of architects to further increase the diversity and cultural richness of our profession.
Your support is essential for us to create and deliver programs and increase the scholarship endowment funds. This year, we awarded $12,500 in scholarships; and introduced three sold-out virtual summer camps for elementary, middle, and high school students. Our plan is to expand our virtual k-12 programming to make this type of program available year-round.
We are currently seeking treasures for our online auction. Are you an artist? Have an artist as a colleague or friend? Own a fantastic vacation home to share? Season tickets to one of the local sports teams? A connection to great furniture or accessories? Something else that a lover of design and architecture would covet? Send an e-mail to info@DallasADEX.org and we’ll make arrangements for your generous donation. If you are looking for ideas, the items that draw the most rave reviews tend to be either art, home and yard décor, furnishings and accessories, and cultural and dining experiences. Sponsorship and Host Committee opportunities are available now, and ticket sales are coming soon!
Thank you for your interest in the rich promise of Dallas’ architecture and design and your support for the programming at the Architecture and Design Exchange.
“See” you on the 19th!
